Carrot bread rolls

Easy, dairy- free, carrot bread buns.

Carrot bread rolls
Carrot bread rolls (12- 14 rolls):
3 dl water
2 carrots
7 g dry yeast (/ 25 g fresh yeast)
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp dark syrup
2 dl oat brans
(1 dl sunflower seeds , optional)
7-8 dl flour
2 tbsp (rapeseed)oil

First; wash, peel and grate the carrots.

Combine 3 dl of lukewarm water and yeast. Add salt, syrup, seeds, oat brans, carrots and about half of the flour.

Then add the rest of the flour and oil, while mixing the batter with your hand.

The batter should stay quite soft, even a bit sticky.

Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and let the batter rise in a warm place for at least 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, preheat the oven to 225°C.

Add some flour and form 12-14 equally sized buns with your hands.

Let the rolls rise for 10- 20 minutes, covered with a kitchen towel. If you want, brush the rolls with water and add some sunflower seeds on top.

Then bake in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes or until the rolls have gotten nice golden color.
